A New Sermon Series about a New Beginning

Have you ever seen a painting at a gallery or displayed on someone's wall? What do you see? Light, depth, lines, shapes, dimensions? What draws you to that portrait? Is there a bird in flight? Is there a ship battling against the wind? When you look at art, do you see elements of your own lifer represented in that piece?

In this new series, we will look at different portraits that the Bible paints for our lives. Join us at Hope as we look at how the portraits of Grace, Forgiveness, Faith, Value, Deliverance, and Commitment can brighten our way.

March 9: The Portrait of Grace

March 16: The Portrait of Forgiveness

March 23: The Portrait of Faith

March 30: The Portriat of Value

April 6: The Portrait of Deliverance

April 13: The Portrait of Commitment

Did you ever feel hopeless?  Perhaps you felt as if you were all alone to deal with an issue or problem.  Perhaps you’ve felt that nobody really understands and therefore there is no one who can help.  If you have, you’re not alone.  In fact, Christmas time can be a really “dark” time of year where depression and loneliness set in.  Yet Jesus once said, “I am the light of the world.”

During this Christmas season we at Hope Lutheran Church invite you to join us in seeing the Light!  We will do this by looking at a series of gifts God provides for us at Christmas.  These gifts enable us to see the light in the midst of darkness and to have hope in times of hopelessness.  Please join us!  You will always be welcome at Hope!

What is God’s mold for his church?  How does God want his church to look?  How does he want it to act?  What is the purpose behind having a church?  This series delves into the power and the purpose of the ancient church to discover the answers to questions like those above.
